Beloved GCHS Librarian Mrs. Lynda Hiles will be retiring after 21 years.

Mrs. Hiles always knew that being in the library was her life’s calling: “I did not want to ever be in a classroom, I wanted to be in a library from the get-go,” she said, and that’s exactly what she did.

When asked what she will miss the most, Mrs. Hiles emotionally replied, “The kids. I will miss the kids the most. That’s what makes everything worthwhile, the connections I have with these children warm my heart.”

Mrs. Hiles retirement plans include traveling with her husband: “We love to travel. we’ve been to 16 different countries, so we are very excited to be able to get back into doing what we love!”

Mrs. Hiles, we love and appreciate everything you have done for us and the Graves County High School. You will be dearly missed.
