Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and as people start to get ready for Thanksgiving we start to see decorations and different traditions. Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks to people and things you are thankful for in your life.
Every year in November people gather around a table full of different foods and desserts to celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the past years. For Christians, it means confession, praise, and offering. However, people have many different traditions and they may celebrate Thanksgiving in their own way.
“The thing I look forward to the most about Thanksgiving is definitely the turkey,” said Cady Edmonson.
One of the most popular dishes around Thanksgiving is turkey. Many families celebrate Thanksgiving by serving a big turkey for everyone to enjoy.
“My favorite activity during Thanksgiving would be the prayer we do before we eat, and seeing my family,” said Mallory Williams.
GCHS students of all ages have different traditions in their families but still express thankfulness for each other and their blessings.
