On Friday, November 10th, GCHS held our annual Veterans Day assembly in honor of those who fought for our country and our freedom.
Following a performance of the National Anthem by our GCHS women’s choir, the instrumental ensembles played the Battle Hymn, Salute to Freedom, and Reap the Blessings.
Colonel Caldwell stated, “Veterans Day is usually in honor of the older people, but this year we’re going to go around the globe to visit different GCHS graduates who enlisted.”
16 individuals were covered worldwide and we welcomed two guests who were cadets from JROTC.
Tyler Stevenson and David Carter were the two special guests who served as cadets. They were recognized for their efforts in serving their country and were presented with gifts from GCHS.
