GCHS has recently introduced a new floral design class in the agriscience pathway.
This class counts as a fine arts credit, and focuses on the principles of design using cut-flower material and foliage in order to create 3D arrangements.
According to Ms. Perdue, “We’ve had a lot of students sign up for this class, and it’s really great seeing so much participation.”
Isaac Watkins confirmed that they make designs and arrangements for weddings, holidays, and other events.
“We have a Valentine’s Day single stem rose project and two weddings coming up soon, which I’m really excited about,” said Ellie Clark.
If desired, students could use the skills they learn from this class to further pursue a career in floral design.
