GC Forensics members place at Marshall Co Invitational

On Saturday, November 11, the Graves County High School Forensics Team traveled to Marshall County High School Speech-a-Mania Invitational.

Students competed in a variety of categories, including Broadcasting, Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Impromptu, and Improvisational Duo.

Hattie Dunn and Devante Alexander placed 2nd in Duo Interp, while Dakota Dunn and Rachel King placed 5th and 6th in Humorous Interp, respectively.

“Our team showed a lot of potential…it was the first forensics competition that any of our members have ever been in,” Head Coach Aaron West said of his team.

“While there is still much work to do, ” West added, “I am looking forward to the rest of the season and the success we are working toward earning.”

The Forensics Team will be traveling this weekend to Calloway County High School to compete in the Larry A. England Invitational.

The team is still taking members and practices Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5.
