BUSINESS AMBASSADORS– Murray State business students visited GCHS friday to discuss opportunities in the College of Business and Mass Communications.

On Friday, November 21st, Business Ambassadors of Murray State University traveled to Graves County High school to talk to Mrs. Gattis’ business classes about student opportunities within the university.

Mark Rhodes was one of the two speakers. He is from Farmington, KY, he graduated from Graves County High school, and he is a mass communications major. He is currently a junior at Murray State. The other speaker was Julia Mazzuca and is from St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School, and she is a public relations major. She is currently a sophomore at Murray State.

“It’s an honor to have a former student, Mark Rhodes, be an ambassador for Murray State’s College of Business. I am always willing and excited to have them speak to my classes. Murray State is a great university and their business program is very strong,” Gattis explained. She is the  GCHS Business teacher and FBLA Advisor.

The speakers specifically informed students of Murray State’s College of Business and the programs within it. They also spoke about freshmen essentials such as athletics, dorm situations, clubs and organizations, and tips on meeting new people. With a Q and A at the end where students could win candy and a drawing for Murray State’s College of Business’ T-Shirts.
