Musical Theater prepares for Nov. Musical: Descendants

Musical Theater call-backs for the 2022 Descendants musical at GCHS have been received.
The five lead roles are played by Natalie Sims as “Mal,” Mia Hancock as “Evie,”Shelby Leonard as “Carlos,” Grace Story as “Jay,” and Landon Ray as “Ben.”
The cast members are thrilled to be playing the inspiring roles as the most popular Disney villains.
Madison Perry, the tech manager of the production, said she’s most excited for the encore because the audience gets the chance to choose heroes or villains. According to her, “We’re really hoping they choose villains.”
The cast has been working hard on learning the energetic choreography and lyrics of the soundtrack.
Many of the cast members’ favorite song is “Rotten to the Core,” a song with a pop influence about owning the stereotypes that society has forced upon you.
The cast is looking forward to showing off the finished product that they have been working hard on.
Come see the musical on Nov 18 – 22, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at GCHS.
