Graves County High School is full of clubs and extracurricular activities for anyone looking to join. A few of the most popular clubs would be DECA, FFA, and FCA, and of the most popular athletic activities include football, basketball, and cheerleading.
“I really enjoy being in DECA and getting to meet new people. I am excited for the new memories I will get to make. Along with DECA, I am on the GCHS Coed cheer team. It is such a great experience to be able to get involved as a freshman.” Freshman, Marlee Wilkerson.
DECA is a nonprofit organization that educates emerging entrepreneurs in the realm of marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Similarly to DECA, FFA is a leadership-based club designed to meet the needs of anyone considering agricultural entrepreneurship in their future. Although Graves County High School offers extensive career-based clubs, there are also groups available for those simply looking for something new. FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is intended for young Christians desiring new friends and close bonds with students that hold similar values.
Addyson Orr, “I am on the GCHS all-girl cheerleading team. I love being able to go to all of the games and be involved.”
Cheerleading is an outstanding athletic group coached by Jon Summerville and Andrew Morgan, consisting of two sensational teams: all-girl cheer and coed cheer. Both squads go on to compete intricate routines against all other competitive cheerleading teams in the region, showcasing their exhilarating crowd leading and high-flying skills.
In addition to these groups, Graves County High School offers a variety of other clubs and sports for anyone looking to join. There is a perfect fit for everyone!
