GCHS teacher and JAG Specialist Stephanie Rickman was selected as a member of the Teacher Ambassador Community for Everfi, a company that empowers educators to bring real-world learning into the classroom and equip students with the skills they need for success.

“I started using Everfi several years ago as a business teacher when First Kentucky Bank sponsored our fees for a banking basics course,” explained Rickman.

“Once I moved to JAG, I was exploring online options as we were transitioning to NTI during the COVID outbreak and discovered that Everfi offers many courses that are aligned with JAG competencies.”

Rickman will be working with educators across the nation to aid in program development, course topics discussions, and to preview new courses being offered by Everfi.

“Through my participation, I will have input on topics for modules that would benefit my students and others as well as helping revise course current offerings based on feedback from the students after completing a course,” she added.

“This is a great opportunity to network with others and contribute to an online course that I have used in my classroom for six or more years.”
