Student Spotlight: Dylan Norton
Senior Dylan Norton was nominated by Mr. Miller for his excellent productions with GCTV and school events.
Norton works as Mr. Miller’s career apprentice and helps run the GCTV production.
“He’s been a tremendous help in putting together larger productions for the district. This includes musicals, fine arts performances, sports reels, and even productions for the elementary schools,” said Mr. Miller.
GCTV is Graves County’s school news TV which shares information on sports, school, events, and daily news.
Norton explained his role in GCTV is anything from behind to in front of the camera: ” I do a little bit of everything from editing things to directing.”
“I don’t know what I would do without him,” added Mr. Miller.
Norton’s involvement with GCTV has inspired him to major in Media Production at Murray State University next year.
Norton stated, “I want that to be my career in the long run. This class has prepared me quite well.”
“I look up to Mr. Miller because he was in the same thing I’m going into,” said Norton. “He went to Murray under TV Production and I’m going to Murray under TV Production. I’ve learned a lot from him.”
