Graves County High School will be having another blood drive on January 29th, all students and staff that are able are encouraged to donate! If you’re considering it, but still aren’t sure if you want to go through with it, allow me to encourage you!

There are many health benefits to donating blood, including: may lower the risk of heart disease, reduces stress, and can lower the risk of cancer. Plus, any time you draw blood, you are given a free health check-up right before! After your blood is drawn, it will be tested for several diseases like hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, and syphilis. These things can give you great insight to your health, for free!

On top of the health benefits, you can benefit mentally and spiritually knowing that you are helping a great cause! There are so many people who need blood transfusions daily to keep them alive. Blood is needed during surgeries, in the ER for trauma patients, and so much more that you wouldn’t even think of! Your donation could save a life!
