There is a program here at GCHS that involves senior students with the community, and that program is Youth Leadership. The group is handled by Mrs. Kay Horn and they meet once a month.

The meeting every month is held on a Friday and the members leave school with other Youth Leadership members from Mayfield to see how they can improve the community.

Member Julianna Sims gave some advice to any upcoming seniors on why they should apply to be in this rewarding program. “If you want to learn more about your community and how to be a better citizen while still having a great time, then Youth Leadership is for you.”
