The National Society of High School Scholars

The National Society of High School Scholars is an honor society that recognizes top academic achievers from high schools around the world. Its mission is to recognize academic excellence among high school students and to encourage members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world. NSHSS is a supporting group to help achieving youth be the works of the future. They provide ways to help with college goals, and career goals.

NSHSS is provided to students who qualify, whether they receive a letter from the society or they get handed directly from the school nominator. Members must be a student in high school and have 3.5 GPA or higher, 1280 SAT or higher, 1080 PSAT or higher, 26 ACT score or higher,score 4 or higher on AP exam or 5 or higher on IB. Also, they must be in the top 10% in their graduating class.

The benefits of being a part of the society is having the opportunity to apply for over $1 million in scholarships, as well as access to internships with leading corporations and government agencies. Volunteering, peer networking, and leadership opportunities are available. There are also study abroad opportunities you can apply for.
