The owners and management of Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers have come together to sponsor community events at your local Wendy’s, or venue of choice, so they can be involved and donate monetary support to their communities.

The Wendy’s in town has thought of a few generous options for the students and administrators to help plan for the school year and upcoming activities such as field trips or even library funds. If you call ahead of time you can schedule a time and day to go to a participating Wendy’s for their old fashioned hamburgers and at discount prices! Students get 10% off their entire purchase; teachers/ chaperones receive 50% percent off, and get this, BUS DRIVERS EAT FREE! Wendy’s also has a “Bonus Bucks Program” and a “Partner Perks”. These programs were made to help with fundraising efforts. Also, if upcoming events need a little more supplies but don’t have money; Wendy’s is there to help. They can assist with supplying cups, napkins, or straws. It’s just a call to get the supplies needed to make the event worthwhile.

Mayfield Wendy’s Co-General Manager, Nathan Dobbs, describes why Wendy’s has this kind of program by saying, “Since this location was bought out by Bridgeman Foods, there has been a greater focus on reaching out to the community.” There are a few opportunities offered to the community, for example, Wendy’s store participated in the Color Run, worked with 103.7 for a back-to-school-bash, and has donated $300 worth of food to a football team.

Dobbs says, “We try to cater to whatever the need is for the organization.” Nathan Dobbs and his business plan to achieve “to help those in need in our area better than we have in the past, secondly, by doing this, we hope to make people aware of who we are and what we stand for.”Wendy’s stores also want you to know you can “own your own Wendy’s” by giving them jerseys, hats, pictures, or anything with the school mascot on it, so they can show off school pride. The crew, the Managers, and the owners want you to be a part of their family. When they say their moto, “Quality is our recipe”, they mean more than just their food.
