TALENTED TEEN– Senior Gregory Willett rehearses with the GCHS Jazz Band.

This week, Senior Gregory Willett was named  Teen Of The Week by The Paducah Sun.

Gregory received this award because of his love and talent for architecture and music.

“I feel honored because they’ve only chosen six people thus far. Being selected means you’re a well-rounded student: art, architecture, theatre, music, as well as academics is what allowed me to be chosen for this award,” Gregory explained about his win.

Gregory’s love for music first spawned at the age of three when he began playing the piano. His talent for drawing came along a little later. His accomplishments for these passions have sent him to the Governor’s Scholar Program, as well as the Governor’s School for the Arts.

Next Spring, Gregory will attend a gathering of the previous winners of Teen of The Week, as well as receive scholarships for this achievement.
