Four years ago on January 26th, 2020 NBA basketball player and the “Los Angeles Lakers” legend Kobe Bean Bryant; died along with his daughter Gianna Bryant in a horrible helicopter crash.
We remember him by his success in his career and love for basketball. We start out by highlighting his senior year in high school; 30.8 points per game and 12 rebounds per game. After high school he declared for the 1996 NBA draft where he went 13th overall to the “Charlotte Hornets” who traded him the same day to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac. He played his entire 20-year career for the Lakers in his first year; he averaged 7.1 points per game and 1.9 rebounds per game.
In his second year; he averaged 15.4 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game he was then selected for his 1st all-star game. In his fourth year he averaged a total of 22.5 points per game and 6.3 rebounds. He was selected for his second all-star game and won the NBA finals the same year. In his 5th year he had 28.5 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game he won his second ring in a row. In Kobe’s 6th year as a “Los Angeles Laker” he averaged 30 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game he won his third NBA championship in a row completing his legendary three-peat.
Kobe Bryant continued his legendary career winning a total of five NBA championships and two gold medals. On April 13th, 2016 Bryant played his last NBA game where he dropped 60 points. After Kobe retired he went on to write a couple books and and a short film he also coached his daughter Gianna Bryant’s basketball team until the fateful day he passed away.
