GCHS Celebrates Arts in Education Week

GCHS+Celebrates+Arts+in+Education+Week

Arts in Education Week showcases our fine arts programs at GCHS including art, jazz band, and chamber orchestra that perform in the commons every year.

The students and staff are very proud of our outstanding arts program that continuously grows every year while also helping students grow.

Dr. Hill says, “It gives students an emotional release,” being in a group of people who share the same interest and passion is important for students, especially after COVID while not having that connection.

Since the arts gives students an emotional release, it often helps with mental health and expressing emotions.

Hunter Carr states, ” If I’m having a bad day, I can put my feelings into the song” the fine arts programs have helped our students grow in so many ways.

Sept. 16 concludes Arts in Education Week with the Chamber Orchestra performing on Friday morning in the commons.
