Tails: A Photo Series
Abi Evitts is a senior at Graves County High School. Evitts doesn’t know what career she wants to pursue yet, she just knows she wants to be happy while doing it. For this piece, her creativity is undeniable in stringing these far fetched differentiating photos into a composition of photojournalism. The idea sprung on a day full of bad news, when one uses the metaphor “I got the tail end of the stick,” they typically mean that they received an unfair side of a situation, while someone else got a good outcome. Evitts wondered how many other things can be tied in with the simple four letter word “tail.” She believes that sometimes the most fun stories to write are the ones that are the hardest to plan out, hence why she chose this topic over hundreds of more obvious ones.
