Talon Falls Screampark’s promotional video for their 2016 haunt theme, “Wasteland,” has been nominated for an Emmy award.

“Wasteland” director, Josh Shreve, announced the nomination on his Facebook page on November 16, 2017. The cast used are scare-actors themselves during the TF haunt season. When asked how it was working with the cast, Shreve commented, “The cast was all top notch . Everyone involved was very excited to be a part of the project. They all put on their A game and did a fantastic job. I couldn’t have been happier.”

“Wasteland” is the first promotional trailer for a haunted house in the nation to be nominated for an Emmy. “It was very exciting to receive the nomination. So many talented people came together for this project and it’s great to see it get recognized for it,” Shreve recalled on how it felt to receive the nomination.

“Wasteland” as a haunt and as a trailer has been positively received for it’s post-apocalyptic survival themes and has been compared to franchises such as “Mad Max.” The idea for “Wasteland” as a haunt came from Todd Ferren, creator and owner of Talon Falls Screampark. Ferren and his wife, Shell, acted as producers on the promo project.
