Graves County High School hosts 2014 Fall Festival

Last night, starting at 5:15, Graves County High School hosted its annual Fall Festival. If you didn’t make it out last night, you missed out on the GCHS cheer leading teams performing their routines, Christmas shopping, and  many great games.  The Festival featured various activities such as the main attraction, the middle and high school boys and girls basketball scrimmages, vendors of a wide range of products, and games for the younger crowd. (The crowd also received a special visit from Santa!)

The vendors included Rhonda Kay Boles showcasing Mary Kay makeup and offering her services as a beauty consultant, Diana Rowe selling custom bottle cap necklaces and key chains for the GCHS chess team, Karen Sullivan presenting thirty-one products, and the local Peachy Keen Boutique providing an array of colorful clothing and scarves for retail. These are only a few of the booths set up to help bring in a crowd to the 2014 festival.

Other attractions of last night’s affair were the GCTV bake sale, which included sweets such as s’mores cupcakes and peanut butter cookies, a face painting booth sponsored by GCHS’s art club, and games such as a pop the balloon and basketball toss. Also Doug Moore (Santa) visited to take pictures with the kids.

The theme of  the festival was “Happy Fall Y’all”. You saw many posters that featured this slogan throughout the gym where the festivities were held.
