On Friday, February 25, the fashion marketing class held the annual prom fashion show in which students model second hand prom dresses to promote their sale.

The event featured musical performances by Jamie Lemay and Kristina Belt, who performed Into the Unknown from Frozen and Mother Knows Best from Tangled.

“To prepare for the fashion show I practiced my song with Ms. Utley,” said Senior Jamie Lemay. “I chose the song because I was in Frozen the Musical, so I was already familiar with it.”

The show was hosted by Noah Jones, Ayden Dick, and Drew Davis who provided colorful commentary as they introduced models and their escorts.

“I really just wanted to make people laugh in order to engage the audience,” said Senior Ayden Dick. “I had to riff off Noah quite a bit and we just went off of the top of our heads along with the script.”

“The only rule Mrs. McKee gave us was to provide comedy and I think we did a pretty good job,” he added.

Additionally,  three beautiful Quinceañera dresses were modeled as a homage to Hispanic culture and women coming of age. An excerpt of a traditional Quinceañera dance was performed as a demonstrative piece of their culture.

Prom will be on April 30th and grand march will be hosted before. Specific times will be sent out closer to date.
