FCCLA is spreading the Thanksgiving Spirit

FCCLA is having a can food drive to help the community. Throughout November, they are preparing Thanksgiving items and canned foods for the shelters in Graves County and making baskets for the families of the Graves County school system.

When December rolls around, FCCLA will take the cans to the community shelters. They will also present some of Graves County’s less fortunate families with Thanksgiving meals.

According to Mrs. Horn, the youth service coordinator, “47.8 percent of students in the school fall below the poverty line.” This is almost half of the school that may not have the funds to buy a Thanksgiving meal.

If you would like to bring can foods or items for Thanksgiving, go right ahead! To donate any cans or food items bring them to Wingo 03 before December.

Mrs. Clark said, “Any food can help, so bring what you have.”
