WKCTC stages an active shooter training

WKCTC will be staging an active shooter training on Wednesday, September 12th. WKCTC’s nursing programs and other response practices are preparing for reaction to a drill for a real life threat.

The police department, fire department, and other response teams are prepared to flee to the scene in order to document time taken to arrive on campus and react to the potential damage done.

Doors will be locked, and traffic on campus will be at halt. If classes end during this time, they are to be held over until the announcement that the drill has ended is made.

Many classes are to be home-based studying due to recent events that may have caused trauma to students.

If you are a dual-credit student and aren’t sure if class is scheduled to be attended on campus, email your professor to ensure that your attendance won’t be affected.
