Getting to first base in the upcoming softball season
Get out your bats and start breaking in your mitts, softball season is about to begin! The Graves County varsity softball team’s first game is fast approaching, on March 13th, 2017. The first game of the season is a home conference game against Mayfield starting at 5p.m. The practices have started and the roster is made.
I got to talk with one of the freshmen on the team, and ask her a question. I asked Maddie Lynn what is the biggest challenge going into the season, she replied, “Probably just getting to know our new coach and how his style of coaching is, and making sure we’re prepared for the season.”
I got to ask Kendra Curlin, a freshman, some questions as well. The first question was what her biggest challenge is, going into the new season, she replied, “I’m new at Graves County, so making new relationships with the other girls.” I also asked her how the practices are going so far, she answered, “I really like how the practices are going. The girls know when to be serious, but we also have a lot of fun!” That is a sneak peek for what’s ahead in the Graves County 2017 softball season.
