Eagles dominate Purples, make history
On Friday night, the Graves County Eagles traveled to Bowling Green to take on the number one team in the state, the Bowling Green Purples, and brought home the regional title, marking the first regional championship win in the school’s history.
Defense was key Friday night, and the Eagles were able to keep Purple points off the board, a feat that hadn’t been accomplished by a team against Bowling Green since 2009. The only touchdown of the night came from senior Cody Crider in the second quarter, following a long catch by senior Joey Marshall.
The Eagles (10-3) will be on the road again next week when they travel to Elizabethtown to battle John Hardin (7-6) in the State Semifinals.
