On January 25, Graves County High School DECA traveled to Murray State University to compete at Regionals. The club members competed in various tests, role play, and written events surrounding business topics. Graves County High School students placed very well, with multiple advancing to the state level.

Kentucky DECA President, Brooklyn Williams says that her favorite part of DECA is being able to travel and meet so many amazing people who are passionate about business.

In addition, two of DECA’s members ran for the regional office. Jenna Shupe, Junior, was elected Region 1 President for the 2023-2024 school year. Ryan Barnett, a junior as well, was selected as a VP.

Ryan was elected as Vice President of Fiance. Ryan states, “I’m excited to put my skills together to help better the DECA experience for all Region 1 participants.”

Those who qualified for the state competition will compete March 5- 7.
