Graves County High School started a program last year called ¨ Winter Wishes.¨ Some people, unfortunately, don’t have the same Christmas full of gifts like other students and the school tries to help those students.

Mrs. Mills, the sponsor for the student leadership class and organizer said: “It’s important to take in consideration when choosing a student those who really have impacted your life and those who do little things to brighten your day or even those are really in need.”

Winter Wishes is a program where the student leadership class holds a survey asking students to anonymously submit names of fellow students who should receive a gift.

“This year our school is giving back to 193 students. The impact that this program has is that it shows how thoughtful students can really be and show students that there is someone always thinking of them,” Mills stated.
