Graves County Public Library completes construction

The Graves County Public Library has completed construction and moved back into their former building on North Seventeenth Street. While the building is not new, the inside is bright and shiny.

The library added a lot of neat and new things. It used to be old and nothing but rows of shelves with a hand full of books on each. But the new and improved library has a reading area with comfortable chairs. There’s a study room for the people who work hard and love to study in a quiet environment. The study room is a small room with a desk and chairs. The meeting room is for the people who want to meet somewhere other than a fast food joint.

The neatest new area is the kid area. There’s a cut-off room where your child can go and play after finding a good fairy tale. Also there’s a teen section with top new teen books. After the third time you check out a book you can check out movies. They have movies of every genre, from Fried Green Tomatoes to Divergent.

The library added a helpful disability button for the people who have a hard time getting around and need assistance. The doors are also handicap accessible.
