TEST PREPPER– Junior Jasmine Simpson works on the Reading portion of the practice ACT during “Scoring Higher” workshop.

Here at Graves County High School, getting students to graduation and on to the next step of their lives is of the upmost importance to our faculty. But before students can walk across the stage, they have to make the score- the ACT.

On Wednesday, Joy Lentz of “Score Higher” Test Prep came to Graves County High to help juniors prepare for the ACT they’re taking next week on March 4th.   The program allows students to go through practice ACT exams and learn helpful test taking strategies including pacing yourself when reading and taking multiple choice questions from easiest to hardest.

Not only is this workshop full of great tips and information, but the school is providing free of charge to every junior.

“It helps kids figure out how they need to improve their scores. I wish they would have come to the school when I was a junior,” commented senior Hannah Templeton when asked how she felt about the program coming into the high school.
