LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!– Sophomore Audrie Lamb was nominated for Pearl of the Purchase Award

2013 has came to a close, along with the Purchase Players of Mayfield season and it is time for the annual Pearl of the Purchase Players Awards.

Audrie Lamb, sophomore at Graves County High School, was nominated for Best Sound Technician for the teen summer production of The Curious Savage. To be considered for Best Sound Tech, Lamb had to be on top of things. This included not only watching the play, but also knowing what is coming up next to keep everything in line while running the actors microphones.

When asked how she felt when she found out she was nominated Lamb replied, “It felt pretty cool because my work was recognized.”

On January 18th the awards show will be held at 7 p.m. Lamb was not the only Graves County student nominated. Those also nominated were Brea Rollston for Best Lighting Tech for two shows, Madison Morgan for Best Stage Manager, LaVerne Waldrop for Best Director, Alyssa Rollston for Best Supporting Actress in a Non-Musical, Buddy Jackson for Best Actor in a Non-Musical, and Robby Blackwell for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 a person so come out and support your fellow eagles.
