GCHS Juniors Clint McKee and Emma Hancock competed in a meet hosted at Calloway County in which they broke two school track and field records.

Emma Hancock is now 2nd in the Graves County High School long jump record.

“I have been practicing more than usual because we did not get a season last year, so I just wanted to be able to go above and beyond for this year,” stated Hancock.

“I feel very accomplished with myself and my record,” she continued, “and I hope to be able to continue my records throughout the season.”

Clint McKee ran the 4th fastest time in school history. McKee originally started running track in order to improve his speed on the football field.

“Whatever happens, happens, and it turned out pretty good,” said McKee.

Head Coach Bobby Potts expressed his excitement for both Hancock and McKee, as well as his predictions for the remainder of the season: “Clint has been working hard on his speed and agility and it has really paid off for him, and Emma works so hard and she has a really good shot at getting the school record this year.”
