Modern Monsters review
Modern Monsters by Kelley York is a young adult mystery novel that follows around an “Invisible Boy”, named Vic Howard.
Vic is not very popular, however his best friend, Brett, is one of the most popular guys in school. When Brett tries to talk Vic into going to a party, Vic is very reluctant, but he ends up going anyway. However, he wishes he hadn’t, because something bad happened to Callie Wheeler, and she told the police that Vic was responsible.
Vic is not the “Invisible Boy” anymore, he is painfully visible. He is committed to clearing his name, even if it means having an alliance with Callie Wheeler’s best friend, Autumn Dixon.
Slowly they start to figure out what happened at the party and they realize that the truth can help Vic, but it can destroy another life.
This mystery is full of twists and turns and heartbreak. It deals with real problems and reveals their consequences.
