The Sun and Her Flowers review
Rupi Kaur published another collection of poems on October 3, 2017 called, The Sun and Her Flowers. This collection of poems is divided into five chapters, it is a journey of wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming.
Kaur’s writing style is so simplistic, yet it pulls on all of your emotions including sadness, anger, loss, grief, pride, guilt, joy, love, nostalgic, and joy.
Kaur’s style of poetry is simple, different, modern and fresh. It’s not like the poetry you read in English class. She talks about modern issues like self-love, immigration, femininity, and other topics most won’t write or talk about in this generation.
The Sun and Her Flowers has been described as beautiful and brutal, which is why a lot of people fell in love with it.
