Track kicks off spring season

It’s that time again, GC! Just yesterday, February 10, the track team began conditioning for their upcoming season. Students should have signed up on Thursday, Feb 5th and gotten information sheets.

Practice time is 3:30-4:30, and is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Until March 2nd, the track team will work on speed training and conditioning. After March 2nd, practice will be outside from 3:45-4:45.

Track events include Sprints (100m,200m,400m), Distance(800m,1600m,3200m), Hurdles, and Relays (usually 4x100m & 4x400m).

Field events are Discus, Shot put, Pole vault, High jump, Long jump, and triple jump.

Students who attend practice should wear tennis shoes and workout clothes. No jeans are allowed.
