The McCracken County Humane Society is a home for dogs and cats, sick and healthy. They shelter them,  take care of them, and make sure they have all of their shots. They are treated with love and care until they become apart of a loving family.  The Humane Society makes sure all animals are are put into a good home when a person wants to adopt.

Duke, a Cur/Mountain mix, has been at the Humane Society since 9/14/17. He has interacted with families, old and young, and is very well with children. In fact, he loves children. He is very energetic for being 6 years old. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. To adopt him, it cost $150. That may seem like too much, but he is a very loving and adorable dog.

I spoke to Terry Vannerson,  the Executive Director of the Humane Society, to get her first impression on Duke. “He has always been energetic. He loves to be outside, almost as much as he loves children,” claims Vannerson.

At the time I worked at the Humane Society, he was one of my favorites there. Personally, I think he would be a great addition to a family. He is such a sweet dog that just wants love and attention. If you’re looking for a new addition to the family, but do not want a puppy, I truly believe he would be the perfect fit.
