On Friday, September 22, the Graves County High School Football team won against the Madisonville North Hopkins Maroons, with the final score being 20-14.
During the Game against the Maroons, Senior, Jacob Sutton intercepted the ball.
“It felt amazing when it happened,” he said with pride, “[It’s] something I haven’t felt before in a game.”
Sutton has played as the defensive end position for all of his Middle and High School careers. Sutton averages four sacks per game, leading the team defensively.
It’s Sutton’s senior year and this moment is definitely going down in the books for him.
“My senior year is going well so far, I’m pleased with how I’m doing.”
Though the season is half over, GCHS football has had four wins including Apollo, Caldwell, Madisonville North Hopkins, and McEwen.
Their Next game is Friday, October 13 against Marshall County. It is an away game.
