Lady Eagle’s Volleyball sweep Cardinals in 5 set game

Thursday, September 7th, the Lady Eagles Volleyball team took the win against the Mayfield Cardinals. In a five set game, the lady Eagles fought for this win. In the first set, 25-20, they lost the second and third set, but won the fourth set, 25-17, and fifth set, 15-6.

Setter on the Varsity team, Molly Miller stated, “During each set we weren’t really worried about the score; we were just trying to put our best foot forward and be the first to 25.”

Lady Eagles Volleyball has had a great start to the season, having multiple, “Three Set Sweeps.” To prepare them for competing against regional teams, the Eagles have been to two tournaments. The next important matchup is between the Eagles and the Cardinals.

“[We are] Practicing hard every single day and being super intentional with every rep that we get and watching film to be better prepared for the next matchup,” Miller stated.

This game will take place at the Eagle’s Nest on September 26th.
