McCuiston commented on the 2013 seniors,”We were a very young team and we needed their leadership. All three were four year members of the team and had been through 4 different coaches. Their determination and persistence was critical to our success.”

Making the All-Region team was Jamie Gamble.
Although they did not win the championship game, the Lady Eagles had one of the most successful seasons in school history. “The teams unselfishness towards each other and their determination to be the best they could be. Everyone worked very hard preseason and made commitments to each other through hard-work and support of their teammates.” With a record of 17-5-2, the Lady Eagles were at one time ranked number eight in the state. Right now, the team is ranked number 12 for defensive leaders, only allowing 23 goals in 23 games.
The Lady Eagles can look at this season with a positive attitude. “It was a great season and we accomplished almost all of the goals we set for the team at the beginning of the year. The team came together nicely and everyone worked hard.” said head coach Mickey McCuiston. It was one of the best seasons for either boys or girls soccer in Graves County history.
“We have many player returning, along with 8 starters and a good group of incoming freshman. The thing that will make the most difference is the team an I will have the benefit of having an entire year to prepare and not just a couple of months.” said McCuiston. The future of Graves County’s girls soccer is bright, and if this year is any indication of the future, Lady Eagle fans better be ready. Graves
