Last week GC students led incoming freshman on a guided tour of the high school.

“We showed the kids around the halls, and letting them know the gist of the areas they will be in, to become more comfortable,” said junior tour guide Cayden Goodman.

Freshman tour guide Bree Riley said, “My purpose for the tour the 8th graders was to build their confidence coming to the high school.”

“It was an honor to get this opportunity to mentor the incoming freshman, and being a leader will show the opportunities they will have in high school,” Riley added.

This annual tour provides 8th graders an opportunity to learn about self-acceptance, focusing on achievements, setting manageable goals, etc. before they enter high school. GC hopes this supports students and lends itself to promoting a positive school culture and community their freshman year.
