February 9th-12th, the co-ed cheerleading team went to Nationals in Florida and won 2nd place.

“We have won Nationals 8 times which is the most anyone in the nation has won the large coed division at UCA Nationals,” said Mr. Summerville, who has served as the head coach for 9 years.

It takes a whole year for the Co-ed team to build and maintain their strength, so when Nationals comes they are prepared. During the summer they have a camp, where they start practicing their routine.

“I love getting to spend time with everyone on the team and getting to compete,” said Peyton Frick, sophomore and ground girl for two years.

After their amazing 2nd place triumph, the team celebrated at Disney World before coming back to Graves County.
