For the first time in Graves County history, the girl’s bowling team traveled to Louisville last week and brought home the state title.

“We’ve been there several years and made the final four a couple of times,” said head bowling coach Jimmy Latta. “Winning this year is a great accomplishment.”

Senior Caylie Truelove will celebrate the end of her high school bowling career in June when the team will compete at the National level.

“We are a whole family,” said Truelove, “the boys and the girls team both. I am going to miss them so much.”

“It was a very inspirational dream that I never thought I would accomplish,” said freshman Abigail Hamilton.

Sophomore, Abby Flemmons agreed: ” Winning state made me feel accomplished and excited to show out at Nationals!”
