Freshman FFA Mission Conference

Freshman FFA Mission Conference

On January 28th, freshman members of GCHS FFA traveled to Eastern Kentucky University to participate in the first ever Leadership Mission Conference.

“The goal of the missions conference was for new FFA members to gain experience with leadership, personal growth, and career success,” explained Ms. Lyell, ag teacher and FFA sponsor.

Blake Haley said his expectations were greatly exceeded: “If the event wasn’t just for freshman I would 100% go again. It was a fun experience.”

According to Logan Jackson, “In one activity we were like super spies. We had a mission to accomplish and by accomplishing the mission we learned more about Kentucky and FFA while also getting to know people.”

Participants were also able to connect and network with other chapters. “Our FFA chapter had fun with the Livingston chapter,” said Ashton Donaldson. “We were all hanging out and doing stuff to help during the conference and meeting new people.”
