The GCHS Academic Team and Future Problem Solvers team won the District’s Governor’s Cup on January 22, 2022.

“Considering that we only had one returning member this year, I believe we are doing great,” said Mrs. Beadles, coach of the Future Problem Solvers.

“This is the best that we have done as a team,” said Senior Gracie Routen. “We have a really great team this year.”

Graves County students also individually competed in Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Arts and Humanities.

In Science, Lucy Baldwin placed 1st and Jonathan Woods placed 3rd. Jonathan also placed 2nd in Social Studies.

In Language Arts, Alice Baldwin placed 1st and Tiffany Rogers placed 2nd. In Arts and Humanities, Lucy placed 1st again, Alice placed 2nd, and Gracie Routen placed 3rd.

Graves County will head to the Regional Governor’s Cup in February.
