On Friday, November 12, the GCHS football team traveled to Owensboro to take on the Red Devils for the second round of playoffs.

Though defeated, The Eagles had a very successful season with a record of 9-3.

“This was a special season, to say the least, I’m proud of all the boys,” said coach Nick Kemp. “This group of seniors worked so hard all season and I am excited to see what they do with their lives after high school.”

Eighteen seniors are leaving the program this year, contributing to a legacy of brotherhood and friendship.

“My favorite part of the season was getting to travel with the boys,” said senior Wesley Felts. “I am excited to see what the class of 2023 has to offer next season.”

“It was a successful season overall, and I made a lot of fun memories with the boys,” said Senior Clint McKee.
