On October 28th, Graves County High FEA members competed at Murray State for a regional teacher competition.

“Education Rising is an organization to help encourage our future educators, and to help early educators be on the right path.” said Educator Director Ashley Bourke.

When students were not competing they visited stations set up for different types of teaching, grade levels, and about Murray State’s campus. One included a drumming session and a special education class.

“I feel students gain confidence when they practice job interviews, speeches and presentations. In addition, they are given the opportunity to sit in sessions given by MSU students and faculty to get a sense of college life and Murray state itself,” said FEA sponsor Mrs. Roberts.
