The Gourd Festival in Mayfield is on Saturday, October 2nd by the Ice House.

This is the Gourd’s 16th annual event and their 2nd annual Gourd prince and princess crowning.

Our Reigning Gourd prince is Zach Martin and princess Karsyn Jones.” said Nanc Gunn. This year at noon they will announce the Royal Court.

Due to COVID-19 they did not follow through with the festival last year.

“The Gourd Patch Arts Festival is put on by the Mayfield/Graves County Art Guild,” said Gunn.”The festival is all about art.”

At 10 a.m the Gourd Festival will have their annual derby car race.

“45 contestants will compete for the 1st place award,” said Nanc

They will have a food truck court, vendors, and a live band.

If you are interested they will be outside the Ice House on 120 North 8th street. They will be open from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
