Senior Abby Maguire and Junior Gracie Colley participated in the TRIO Talent Search Residential Campus at Murray State University this past summer. They were two of  23 students selected for this program

Maguire and Colley experienced teamwork and leadership skills led by Paradigm Shift.

“It was really fun,” said Maguire. “They had people come in and play games with the students that taught us life lessons.”

“It was very useful,” added Colley, “I know where campus buildings are, and I’m glad I got the college experience early.”

However, the experience wasn’t all business. Students also went to the wellness center, Cheri Theatres, and social time in the commons of the dorms.

The goal of Talent Search increase number of eligible students who successfully graduate from secondary school and transition into post-secondary education.
