Last week the Eagles lost to Marshall County in the first round of the regional tournament 72-59. The Eagles end their season with an impressive record of 18-6.

“This team is amazing,” said senior Drew Thompson. “I couldn’t have asked to be on a better team and family. This team is a family to me and I’m grateful for every single coach and player.”

The Eagles are grateful for Thompson as well: he has contributed 493 total points to GC.

Thompson specifically praised Coach Josh Frick, saying “he does nothing but boost my confidence and trust me 100%. Having someone behind your back like when it comes to the game, there’s nothing better.”

Thompson’s main take away from this season is this: “Not everything falls into your favor like it should have. But that´s part of the game and I’ve learned how to deal with adversity.”

However, his favorite memory from the year was “Playing in front of all the Graves County fans and competing every night with my team.”
