Fancy Farm principal, Janet Throgmorton, appeared on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ after taking a role as a bus driver due to the shortage of drivers midst the pandemic. Janet Throgmorton’s service to her school and students was seen across the country last week.

Throgmorton has worked at Fancy Farm Elementary for 25 years.

“About 3 years ago I got my commercial license to help drive the bus during field trips,” explained Throgmorton.

So, when two out of four of her drivers were out due to the pandemic, Janet stepped up to assist by bussing students home every afternoon this past month.

Appearing on “The Drew Barrymore Show” via video call, Janet explained: “Its like anybody that works in a school. You do whatever necessary to get the job done so the kids are safe and loved and learning. And that’s what we’re all here for.”

Although Janet Throgmorton has gone above and beyond in her role as Fancy Farm Elementary principal, she still applauds her students for being able to adapt so well during the pandemic.

To show appreciation for her kindness, “The Drew Barrymore Show” and Erin Condren donated $15,000 in supplies to the school!
