GC District Employees receive first round of Covid-19 vaccine

8th grade teacher Adrienne Custer receives the first dose of the Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine.

On Wednesday, January 20th, 87 Graves County District employees received the first round of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine.

The Graves County Health Department set up early that morning in the Performing Arts Center lobby, with the first vaccines beginning at 8:15 a.m.

According to the CDC, the Moderna vaccine is 94.1% effective against COVID-19 illness.

The Health Department will return in approximately one month to administer the second round.

The Kentucky Department of Public Health states that 250, 867 vaccine doses have been administered thus far in the state.
